Lori Kunkle

Lori Kunkle is a graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing. After graduating, she accepted a position in the Reading Hospital Emergency Department, and in 2009, she joined the Emergency Department’s management team.

Lori received her Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) from Alvernia University and a Master’s degree in Nursing Administration (MSN) from Cedar Crest College, Allentown. She is a member of WELCOA – Wellness Coalition of America, which provides training and resources dedicated to corporate wellness.

Lori joined PK Benefits Consulting as the Senior Vice President of Clinical Wellness in January 2014. In addition to assisting with the development and design of corporate wellness plans, Lori can provide communication strategies and structure wellness incentives that will be influential in changing employee behavior. Additionally, she uses her wealth of knowledge and experience from the clinical side of nursing to break down claims information and data provided by health insurance carriers to determine which wellness initiatives will have the greatest impact in reducing healthcare costs.

During her years in the Emergency Department, Lori identified that the average age of individuals seeking treatment for symptoms of heart attack and stroke was getting younger. People are experiencing potentially life-threatening health conditions that are preventable or modifiable with improved lifestyle choices. Her primary goal is to offer education through corporate wellness initiatives to reduce individual risk factors and make positive behavioral changes before they lead to a catastrophic event.
